DROCA Rounds 1 - 6

Round 6

Background: You have been at see for sometime which may have been more for some of you who have had to travel futher to Dunk Island.

Situation: As you near the island a thick fog envelopes you. It seems to be made of more than water and sends all that touches into a thick trance that may feel more like reality. As you slip deeper into the trance the fog dips into your darkest memory, reviving it and forcing you to relive and survive it once more.

Extra: Despite being in a memory the fog is real to the OC. Any pain and wounds they receive will stick with them when they free themselves of the memory. How they get free is up to you.

Round 5 Background: Your egg should have hatched by now and you are travelling to the new destination that you are being pulled towards. Situation: You have finally reached the ocean but the question is, how do you cross it? Even more, what will you do against the natural and mythical terrors of this great expanse? Extra: Bear in mind the ocean is no longer a safe place. Its great depths can hide things that even make the land beasts wither in fear. The location you are heading is Dunk Island, of the coast of Australia (google it) but your OC doesn't know this yet. They'll find out in the next round. Round 4 Background: It appears that your "need" to find the shockwave is pulling you towards an unknown source even if you believe that you know where you should be going. The source is pulling you towards the the seas surrounding the east coast of Australia. Your eggs may have hatched by now if not they are very close and ready to at any minute. Situation: While travelling you see a strange beast which attempts to confront you. Extra: The beast must be chosen from here. The situation that arouses can be of your own choosing though there must be some confrontation, even if it is as small as passing though your path or attacking you. You can confront it if you wish.   Round 3 Background: You have been travelling for some time and have seen a lot more of this new era's true face. The egg appears as if ready to hatch any moment now though it could still be months yet in some cases. Situation: Each of you has travelled far and seen many new sights as well as creatures. You are at a point in your journey where you must travel through a city/town/village that is armed against the creatures. While in this city you come across some of the rumoured winged OR have a brief encounter with them. Extra: As stated, it is a brief encounter or it can be just your OC seeing one that has revealed their wings in some way, whether casually, accidently, etc. You will be leaving the city/town/village in this entry. As of this round your egg can hatch though you don't have to rush it if you don't want to. It is now up to you when it hatches. Winged at this point in time appear as humans with large wings (capable of flight though not so large as most can't be hidden under jackets and such) and come in every size, shape and colour known to man. They tend to hide who they are and are the most feared of Gifted people. There are two fractions (or alignments as some call them), Angels and demons. The only difference is they type of wings, the Angels have feathered wings and the Demons have leather (or non-feathered) wings. Obviously the demons are most hated while the angels are sometimes glorified. Most humans believe that the Winged are responsible for the shockwave and everything afterwards and such the Winged tend to hide who they are though some have become accepted into the community.  [Winged, Gifted (c) pandemoniumfire] Round 2 Current Time: 2 weeks later Background: You have been travelling for a week now since you set out to find the source of the shockwave. The egg has been starting to show signs of activity and occasionally makes noises telepathically with you. Situation: While travelling a demon crosses your path. Whether you are willing or not you agree to the demons deal and are marked with a strange tattoo. The demon is particulary interested in the egg but makes no attempt to take it from you. The demon tells you it will eventually collect its due in time before suddenly disappearing. Extra: There is no set appearance of the demon or tattoo. The effects of the tattoo may or may not be immediate depending on the person. A strong sensation is felt when the tattoo is placed. Round 1 Time: 2 months later Background: A small amount of eggs have begun appearing in unusual places all over the world. These are being discovered humans, who for no known reason, have bonded with these eggs upon touch. Days later these humans leave their homes and are glimpsed searching for something. Situation: You find one of these eggs while doing your daily activites and touch it. Instantly you feel a sharp pain and can't bear to leave it alone and so pick it up even if you don't want to. You continue your day, your mind keeps thinking about the Shockwave no matter how much you try not to until you no longer can take and decide to live in search of the source. Extra: Your OC feels a maternal bond to the egg and no matter how much they rebel against it, they can't help but protect it. They may care for the egg in numerous ways but they always keep it close by. The egg is like a bird or reptile egg and can be in numerous sizes from a little hummingbird to slightly bigger than an ostrichs'. The eggs have numerous textures and patterns, aparently they are as hard as stones.
